Remember when people were NICE

Still don't have to where I live.

I dropped my purse in a shopping mall some months back. Drove off, discovered it missing at the next shop I went to, drove back to the shopping centre (mall) and someone had handed it in. I had over €300 in cash - not a cent missing.

Sorry Ms. Tess, I chalk that up to purely luck. Try it 20 times at 20 different locations.

Fuck that shit, there were rapes and murders all the same. Democrats were better than Republicans and prisoners swept the streets. Raising a barn and lowering taxes were normal.

Kinda ironic considering this is about how people used to be nice, i guess even the guy filming has changed into an asshole.


Oh well, times are changing. people only care about themselves and money.

You used to be able to smoke anywhere, even in elevators, though it was polite to ask the people stuck in the elevator with you if they minded if you smoked.

At movie theaters and on airplanes, they had ashtrays built into the armrests of the seats.

At high schools, they had smoking lounges, so the kids didn't have to smoke outside in bad weather.

Planes fly low over my house almost everyday now.

Not long ago my own cousin whom I grew up playing with called me and told me that they had thought about hiring someone to kill me. Because I'm bad? No. Because her daughter misunderstood what I tried to say to her husband on a visit. That was worth my life.

Everybody in my family back stabs where they used to stand together. Everybody's afraid of everyone else. I thought that I had woke up one day in the world that had just gone crazy, but the truth is? We are at War. We've been turned against one another and we've all gone crazy. You will not be able to, for a long time, have a conversation with someone close to you without wondering what they're really thinking.

For a long time I just wanted to get through it. Get it over with. But now? I realize that we are at War. It's a psychological war that we've been primed for, for decades. And now it's here.

I expect to find myself banned from this site in the morning. Because you can't say truth anymore. Not anywhere. They're going to delete all the real people that's left.

Smoking on planes with real food, and getting paid to travel was about as good as it ever got.
There was a period in 80s-90s where you could not smoke on Amtrak coach, but you could in your private sleeper.

I am getting older and I do miss the time when people seemed to be more responsible and connected to and for each other.

This age favors anonymity at the expense of family and community.

Disposable existence, getting lost rather than accept responsibility....

People were nicer because more people overall behaved responsibly.

That built community and respect for all.

Now we have thug life.
