Why: Maxine Waters is inciting far-left terrorist violence and threats of violence. In Los Angeles, Maxine Waters told a crowd:

This goes far beyond mere protest. As Tucker Carlson pointed out, the far left now asserts that the Bill of Rights only applies to those who agree with them. Their views are protected by the First Amendment, while your views are ‘hate speech” and anyone who doesn’t share the left’s views no longer has freedom of movement or association. They can’t go to the movies, they can’t go to restaurants without being exposed to harassment and intimidation.

And the backdrop to all of this is the well-documented, numerous examples of actual far-left political violence since Trump’s election by such groups as Antifa or BAMN (By Any Means Necessary), both organizations that advocate and directly use violence to influence political behavior, which is the definition of terrorism:

Given the clear track record of Antifa, BAMN, and other far-left groups, which openly use violence and the threat of violence to intimidate and silence their political enemies, Maxine Waters either knew or should have known that her calls for people to harass Trump Admin officials would be answered by those inclined toward terrorist violence. It stretches credibility for her to assert she didn’t know that. And she also knew or should have known that this would cause fear of violence in the people she is targeting, which is in fact exactly what she wants to do, as noted above, to pressure them to change their views. Rather than realizing that she crossed the line into incitement of violence for political purposes (terrorism), Maxine Waters doubled down on it and made it clear that she wants people to harass Trump Admin employees specifically to change their behavior by changing their political views and forcing them to turn on President Trump and pressure him to change his policy positions.

Maxine Waters is inciting terrorist violence and threats of violence. We need to stand up against this. As Oath Keepers Founder Stewart Rhodes recently stated:

Rep. Maxine Waters of California warned her supporters not to be baited into a confrontation with a a far-right militia group planning a protest at her South-Central Los Angeles office Thursday.

The Oath Keepers, which claims 35,000 members who often dress in military gear and carry military-grade rifles at protests and events across the country, issued a “call to action” for Thursday to protest Waters’ “incitement of terrorism” and Democrats’ opposition to Republican immigration policies.

Waters does not want counter-protesters to clash with the Oath Keepers and urged her supporters to stay away until they’re gone.

Remember when Maxine Waters was saying that activists should haunt the steps of every person associated with the Trump administration and let them know they were “not welcome” in polite society? Well, the shoe is on the other foot now and the congresswoman isn’t very pleased. Oath Keepers has announced that they will be protesting Waters at her Los Angeles congressional office and she’s issuing a warning to her supporters to stay away from the dangerous “gun nuts” who will probably start a war or something. Rep. Maxine Waters warned supporters on Wednesday of potential “armed protests” against her after an extremist group called for ongoing demonstrations outside her office in Los Angeles.

In a lengthy statement issued late Wednesday, Waters, D-Calif., said she’d been notified about forthcoming protests by the Oath Keepers, which she described as “an anti-government militia” that’s staged armed protests in cities across the country.

She warned her supporters against being “baited” into counter-demonstrations or confrontations with the organization, which she said has a track record of “violent and provocative behavior.”

Not so fun when you’re the one being “hounded” now, is it? But it’s also worth noting that there’s a key difference between what the Oath Keepers are planning and the liberal tactics Maxine Waters has publicly endorsed. The Oath Keepers want to protest outside of the congresswoman’s office. That’s her official place of business where she’s supposedly engaged in her job. Provided they keep to the sidewalks, don’t block traffic or prevent constituent access to the office, it’s nothing more than a typical political protest.
