I didn't really plant a garden this year, but I have Marshmallow coming up everywhere. It's all over the property, and some of it is 7 feet tall. I have harvested some and made marsh mallows with the root, and tea from the leaves. It turns out, the leaves are very good for your stomach, but are also a very powerful diuretic. If anyone is in western Nebraska or eastern Wyoming, and you want some I can hook you up. I probably will not harvest a lot of root, but I'll have plenty of leaves. I'm making a salve from the leaves mixed with plantain leaves. Both are good wound healers, and will stop itching. That just sounds like the greatest bug bite treatment ever.
Quoting: Epic Beard Guy Have tossed root tubers from Jerusalem artichoke on the way down through the woods to our year round brook in hopes they take root for the next owners of our property to enjoy once we leave.
