Ahhh I should note that my sweet potatoes have been ravished by deer. Prolly won't get any yield. That's ok. Dont much care for sweet potatoes anyways... but... If I catch em in there I'll give em a dose of lead from my 12 guage. At the range I'm shooting at it will just scare em and not hurt em. But let them know they Aint supposed to be there.

We didn't plant any beets this year but a neighbor did and gave us enough to can 9 quarts. A 5 gallon bucket full. Nothing like fresh beets.

Already have 50 quarts of white half runners canned.
30 quarts if 6 week beans
Gonna do 50 quarts if greasy grit beans.
30 quarts of kraut.

Had a ton of okra... just gave away half a bushel to some repairmen.

Decided not to do pickles this year.
No canning tomatoes this year either. We have a surplus. We rely heavily on raising and canning our own food here. As little as we can buy from the store is our policy.
