Like I'm the darkness you desire to swim through

We can move past one another forever in silence

Like ghosts in the narrows of our memories pooled

Slip past these reveries of being of the earth and the sea

Keeping separate the waters sliding through my left hand cupped

As the sands of time slip past the grip of my clenched right fist.

The clay of this carnival left in the mess we are making

Feng shui

Thoughts and intentions intertwined, now visualized

Distilled like the sweet dew from a bruised morning sky

I've been fishing in the aether

Drifting the cosmic eddies

Chasing stars and collecting comets

Dream-catchers swollen with ghosts and spirits trying to escape the bends

The Light pursues the Night, who nursed the Stars

This creates a truth, the most ancient of paradoxes

Swimming and swirling in the dust of the past and future

Surfing the edges of the twilight so I can always be close to my dreams

In the darkness, I can see everything so clearly

As these rings of orange in my eyes ignite

Setting the formless aflame

The space between the heavens and hells aglow

The ocean of my emotions swelling into a sea of uncertainty

I walkabout a fine line between my wildest intentions and most twisted perceptions

Between these two pillars of self, I kneel and close my eyes

The rings of fire reduced to coals and embers

Waiting for the hands of time to loosen around my neck

So I can breathe in the prima materia and exhale another creation

Another universe of smoke and mirrors built in the infinite shadow of time

Between these pillars of faith and reason,

Between providence and pandemonium

I slowly sift through the broken pieces of all the things I destroyed

Piece by piece, I build something I can recognize again,

I've become solidified here in the now of it all

Waiting for the spirals to bring me back around again...

A cosmic dance in the crystal clear reflections upon these still waters surrounding me

Drink them in and descend into sleep, into the dark, cool, and still of imagination at rest

I've lost myself in the sprawling depths of her eyes as they swallowed me

Mesmerized and mystified by her visions and insights of things to be and gone

I hang from her words like an outlaw from an old oak standing solitary in the night

Her song echoes through the voids and veils, I hear her sing like angels to the shepherds

There is a sweet surrender I find in her words, a calm within these charms of hers

Driven by the things she whispers over the wind and across a furious sea

A peacefulness like you find in a summer night's light rains and heavy air, holding you down

Illustrating the way to her like lightning in the dead of darkness, pulling through the static

All while being fueled by the desires she feeds me, coaxed along by her warm smile

The flames jump between us, eternal and binding to these ancient dreams

These flames take away all the damaged skin, leaving new growth in its place

She pulls me in and the stories begin again and again, like the spring chasing the cold

Faster still until I become a serpent chasing it's tail, cycling through realities across the infinite

I'm left riding this snake of fire around a timelessness in our hearts

I am riding her ancient boat to the planet of a million years to meet the ancient gods

Standing in the silence between these dreams, forever in the twilight of a perpetual dawn

Casting long shadows of grey, like the robes of immortality smothering the sun, changing the fates

Hiding the moon from the light, from the reflection within me
