An interesting fact about this case ppl are pulling police logs and their were two separate reports of men parking in front of ppl"s houses claiming their vehicles broke down when they weren't. There is a FV name being floated around his family owns property next to WC, and his FB page is creepy middle aged less than average guy taking pics with much younger prettier girls.
One of the vehicle break downs mentioned his name. He is from Brooklyn and was in town week of disappearance.

I saw this statement made in one of the Mollie groups. I don’t if it’s true.. “The FBI was called to Brooklyn,IA to investigate the case of Mollie missing because Wayne Cheney’s nephew is a Sheriff there. And with that being the case he could hide any evidence or many different things.”

I think I make a comment about how pretty the women in Iowa are. If I didn’t I pulled it because I debated saying something like that under the circumstances.

That article suggests that there's more rapists than we realized. And the behavior excalates, just like Domestic Violence (well rape is domestic violence).

Is Websleuths still a tight place where they don't accept opinions, just the facts? Sure the owner was involved with a case in the 90's and was traumatized by something but the place is kinda strict?

I did originally see the name here and once I saw it listed as one of the "broke down" vehicle men, it creeped me out. I checked out his Facebook and Twitter. I saw a lonely middle aged dude who was all about the 20 somethings. A job hopper. When I heard his family bought Cheney's farm and their property was next to it. I got chills. Great lead!!

This is so sad.

Some although not all of the posters are very condemnatory of the victims and their loved ones, unnecessarily so IMHO. Always there are OCD bullies with extremely rigid thought processes on online sites.

Once tried to provide links to alternative Jon Benet Ramsey murder theories and did not feel at all validated. Did the exact same thing here and got a much more positive reaction for my efforts. GLP in general appears much more open to out-of-the-box theories IF they're based on any evidence to back it up.

For that reason I only occasionally visit to read updates.
Like Reddit you can find a few sensible posters who are clearly from a LE-related background and contribute interesting info relevant to the case.

Reddit offered links to a FB page solely controlled by the missing girls relatives, offering LE updates and news. It limits the postings from outsiders who are often cruel. Can't believe the number of people criticizing the missing girl's boyfriend for not texting her often enough. Some very loving men don't live on their phones.

I long ago gave up voicing my opinion, and just occasionally read updates instead.

I was just thinking yesterday that all this recent stuff come to light sheds more truth on what happened to Jon benet.

Mollie Tibbetts search: Iowa man says 'maybe I was the last person to see her'



Devin Riley told ABC News on Thursday he saw the University of Iowa sophomore running past his home on the evening of July 18.

"I've seen her probably three to four times per week,” he said. “She'd kind of jog down the street and towards the hill. I thought nothing of it until I heard somebody was missing, and it really hit me that I hadn't seen that runner since then."


Riley, who went on to describe Tibbetts as “wearing like a neon pink sports bra with black khaki yoga pants and an armband with her music device, or phone” and “hair in a ponytail,” reportedly reached out to police after spotting her picture on Facebook.

Devin Riley saw the 20-year-old run past his home in Brooklyn, Iowa, on July 18, at around 8pm, around 30 minutes after Mollie was seen running near her boyfriend's home 0.9 miles away.

After she was reported missing and her disappearance heavily publicized, Riley contacted police on Facebook to say he believes he was the last to see her alive.

Riley lives with his fiancee and their two children in a house on the other edge of town from Mollie's boyfriend's where she was staying alone the night she went missing.


Her mother’s home is about the same distance, so we can see the perimeters 0.9 miles would be from her boyfriends house.

At 7:30 she texted with mother about ingredients mother was going to purchase for a dessert Mollie was going to make for an after-work celebration on Friday the 20th and asked what was for dinner, mother replied "brats", Mollie responded "ok"

I think he's in the E Des Moines Street area... but is it strange that he knew exactly what she was wearing... like I couldn't describe what a passing jogger was wearing so accurately. Unless men really do pay attention to what we wear that closely. hah.

Breaks my heart. I wouldn’t be able to function the rest of my life if I lost my children.

I've never seen something like this case besides the SP case. And the SP case was very sketchy like this one.
I think they know where she is but the case has gotten so big now.
