Quoting: lightchild_uk Is there anything near by now, that is new which could interfere with the equipment. Have you even tried the radios without the repeater and seen what happens? no interference. same place - same time as usual. this is a compaq laptop. all seems well and good. very, very wierd, huh? not sophisticated on lingo-repeater,radio, etc. lol sound was like click, dwerppppp tone. lol |

All of a sudden we get constant clicking sounds and some people say they cant transmit far anymore. Quoting: Steamer As a side note: we just moved stuff around and some cables may have been undone and then put back. The only cables that COULD be accidentally reverses are the low pass and high pass- whatever that means?? Just a theory so far. What are these? If i switch them and its not the original problem will I fry the repeater?? the above suggests you are utterly clueless yes you will likely fry it if the SWR is high for the xmitter undo every single cable connector and carefully inspect and clean all connector mating surfaces with appropriate contact cleaner look for any loose imperfect connections, discard or repair where necessary. it is likely you're having passive intermodulation problems and could even be generating interference to other services in the area get a clue [link to www.anritsu.com (secure)] |
