Our definition of "year" is based on a perceived pattern of motion in the space around us. It is approximately one circuit around the sun.

If "year" was based on a different pattern that up until now had only clocked 20 circuits, then the Earth would be 20 "years" old.

I personally don't know what this circuit might be, but my first guess would be if we were clocking the circuits our solar system is making in its orbit of our black hole, I guess.



Our Years would have suddenly come to mean a much longer stretch of time. But our concept of time would still be based on motion in space.

The Earth is supposed to be 4.543 billion years old. So in Vigesimal Year we have 20 circuits, and across those 20 circuits, the Earth has orbited the sun 4.543 billion times (Solar Year). I will divide 4.543 billion solar circuits by 20 vigesimal circuits to get the ratio of solar circuits per vigesimal year.

4.543 billion / 20 = 227,150,000 solar circuits per 1 vigesimal year.


The hour is a fraction of a day, which is based on the Earth's rotation in relation to the Sun.

In Solar Year, we have ~365 days, which comes out to 8760 hours or so. In Vigesimal Year, there are 227,150,000 solar circuits. So I will multiply 8760 solar hours by 227,150,000 solar circuits to get the total solar hours per vigesimal year.

8760 * 227,150,000 = 1,989,834,000,000 solar hours per vigesimal year

The record running speed is 27.8 miles per solar hour.

27.8 miles / 1 solar hour * ~1.99 trillion solar hours / 1 vigesimal year

This comes out to: 55,317,385,200,000 miles per vigesimal year

How many days in a vigesimal year? I don't know, so let's just divide by 365 = 151,554,480,000 miles per vigesimal day
How many hours in a vigesimal day? I don't know, so lets just divide our days by 60 = 2,525,908,000 miles per vigesimal hour

But check it out, I'd run fast. In terms of miles per time unit, anyway.
