At least you didn't say you were getting your oil checked. I’m all about the routine maintenance! Knew a guy that went 10k miles without an oil change. He calls me up and says his car is making some weird ass clunking noise and its not accelerating worth a shit. Turns out that sludge does not lubricate your engine... I went and picked him up, but I still asked, wtf dude?!?!?! oil turns acidic. Is This The Real World Or Is It Just Fantasy. |

It can be several things upstream from the sensor. A couple possibilities could be coolant sensor, MAP/MAF sensor. This code can be a little tricky. i put a new upstream in, new map, new mas, checked fuel psi checked vac psi even froze the pcm the problem went away after reinstalling the pcm frozen.so last thing i think to check is leak down and down stream o2 before i order the new pcm or ecm. errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr The pcm would be the very last thing on my list of things to do. Check this page out, it gives a few other things to inspect. [link to www.yourmechanic.com (secure)] From recent personal experience... My daily driver is modded and a little sensitive than normal to the fuel mixture. I kept getting the dreaded rotten egg smell, but everything checked out fine. One day a little rice burner was fucking with me, so I got into it and the devil showed its head. It started misfiring. I got home and checked the plugs out, they were fine. Then started checking the wires. A boot had a crack in it and when I put the pedal down it tried dumping all the current to the plug but had access to start arcing against the block from the crack. Another wire had a worn terminal, which was flaky in conducting the current. I am using MSD boots and terminals with Taylor 8mm wires. They have been on there for 10 years, so I suppose it was inevitable at some point for the age to catch up to them. After repairing this the rotten egg smell quit happening. The point is, the rotten egg smell is a result of to much fuel hitting the cat. Which is a result of a rich or too much fuel condition. I am just not sure why the computer was not throwing a code in this case. PS. I never noticed a misfire until that moment of putting the pedal to the floor. Normal driving, I never noticed anything other than the smell. And a tapping sound coming from the radio, I assume it was a small amount of current jumping out of the cracked boot and interfering with the radio signal.
