oil turns acidic.

I live three miles from work and have only out 25k on my car in 5 years...lol
I get the oil changed every 6 months, like a good girl...my little Subaru will run forever! I’ve trashed a car in my day...lol...click..click...click...I know better. ; )

From recent personal experience...
My daily driver is modded and a little sensitive than normal to the fuel mixture. I kept getting the dreaded rotten egg smell, but everything checked out fine. One day a little rice burner was fucking with me, so I got into it and the devil showed its head. It started misfiring.

I got home and checked the plugs out, they were fine. Then started checking the wires. A boot had a crack in it and when I put the pedal down it tried dumping all the current to the plug but had access to start arcing against the block from the crack.

Another wire had a worn terminal, which was flaky in conducting the current. I am using MSD boots and terminals with Taylor 8mm wires. They have been on there for 10 years, so I suppose it was inevitable at some point for the age to catch up to them.

After repairing this the rotten egg smell quit happening.

The point is, the rotten egg smell is a result of to much fuel hitting the cat. Which is a result of a rich or too much fuel condition. I am just not sure why the computer was not throwing a code in this case.

PS. I never noticed a misfire until that moment of putting the pedal to the floor. Normal driving, I never noticed anything other than the smell. And a tapping sound coming from the radio, I assume it was a small amount of current jumping out of the cracked boot and interfering with the radio signal.

The only thing that makes me sad is it’s got a lump when put the seat down to sleep mand not it’s classified to pull any thing... but I carry a tent... I have a couple years until I can really run away. : )

Oh, and please note...I would never live in a car, but it is a romantic notion and I’m all for planing a quick getaway...

Never been there before. Went out west to Nebraska just past chimney rock one time. Fucking beautiful country when you get close to the mountains.

No billboards... few chains except for commercial centers...gorgeous green mountains, feel like your in the middle of nowhere and only a few miles from a great cup of coffee and amazing food, easy to hide if you pay cash...

I camped solo there for years while my kids were at summer camp...it is familiar. Few cops, very green, and people mind there own business..Never had a hassle or felt I was in danger...also legal to be naked : ).:hf: Honestly though, Alaska would be #1...but I’d need to live a winter there before I could commit long term...I need the sun!

I prefer total backwoods camping. Where it could take the park Rangers a day or so to find you. One time I did not come out when I said I would and it took them 3 days to find us and make sure we were ok.

I hiked the Long Trail a few years ago, and did few sections of the App Trail back in the day...you guys need to understand that things can be a little different if you’re a chick flying solo...just sayin’...although I hate to

Yep, but make sure its big enough to make anything you would encounter think twice about wanting a second one. In these cases, I take no less than a .45.

No worries there...conceal carry permit and may I add, wilderness first aid certified... but I’m feakin’ 59 years young...

That or 10mm. Both would work for 2 and 4 legged predators.
