in the 50's and 60's my life growing up was used clothes from the goodwill, hand me down clothes from my brother, and actually two new pair of levis, tee shirts and a pair of cheap convers shoes for back to school. did my share of going to bed hungry. I didn't get any nice clothes until I was in high school, I say "nice" lightly.
