A 9 can strike within days......Very deep EQ's COULD mean a larger and swallow quake????

Not a geologist but I imagine something that strong especially by a fault could cause a chain reaction in the shallows

yeah, i see what you're saying, but I don't think there's enough of a correlation, so I'm not sure what squiggy was saying. I don't follow this stuff that much, but from what i've seen, from that part of the planet, large quakes are not typically followed up with a larger one? Doesn't that happen much less than half the time? not statistically relevant?

is pushed up, displacing the water. the Energy does its work.

A really deep earthquake of 750(k?) was one cause for the warning. The whole Pacific plate, which is about half the earth, has been displaced. I think he said it was one of the deepest he has ever seen. Sorry, I can't remember specifics.

It may have been in this video, but I think it was in his first at 10 pm yesterday-- could only find part 2.
