Massive, especially for that deep but to deep to cause a Tsunami or any other damage. I'm sure it's been stated but my phone alert showed it as a magnitude 8.2.

I just counted the number of 6+ quakes in the last 7 days.. there are at this point 7... something kinda rare the last few years.

Thats one deep earthquake 346 miles DEEP ....at a 8.2 something dont sound right with this one! I think 7.5+ is the threshold for Tsunamis, so 7.9 is very significant, but as others stated, it's too deep to create a tsunami.

a shallow 9.3 would be devastating!

All I am thinking about looking over this thread is all the people yesterday talking bout feelings of Doom.

I was pretty sure they have to be pretty shallow for tsunami and no tsunami warnings are out now.
