I have a feeling that the aggression and mockery of posters is proportionate to how safe they and theirs are from 'punishment.' Not a very high moral bar, from my perspective. Part of me thinks that you are actually saying this: "The debt of sin must be paid. But does it *have* to be paid by the person who did the sin?" There is something about that, the greasy feeling of smirking and chuckling, that in my less kind moments makes me hope that everyone has to pay for their own sins.
