U.S. Creates Landlord Task Force to Strong Arm Property Owners into Renting to the Poor

If you own private property and rent that private property, they are forcing you to take in Section 8 income. forcing you to be placed on a list of available housing for Section 8 candidates..

This is another case of government telling you what you can and can't do with your own property,business or body.


If you need to apply for Section 8 housing okay not a problem I'm not going to discriminate against you.. but fuck if the government has to get involved and tell me who I can and can't have on my own property

Time for a new HUD secretary, Mr. President. This one is defective.

A better investment would be Tiny House Communities, where the folks themselves build them as teams and do the community service as maintains the neighborhood. Section for tiny houses on wheels and maybe even safe camping. Obama might want a campground around his place, maybe Nancy Pelosi and Schumer could take in some illegal immigrants, since they won't try to change the laws on immigration, won't allow the government to keep families and won't provide money for the housing of these border crossers. It is the least they can do.

I was a landlord for a time. Don't know if I could do it again. If I got the rent on time and the tenant wouldn't tear my property up, I would rent to them. In fact, the one who treated my property the best was the poorest!

The big thing no one ever talks about regarding section 8.

The wait list is at least 7 years.

Think about that.....a wait list of 7 years. Those in need have all this paid for ....get the ged, enroll in city college - books paid for, child care paid for, gas for your car, free bus passes.

They end up with either a trade certification or associate degree.

Then.....Apply to state college for the final two years they are accepted because of priority place,ent, Fafsa pays for everything in addition to what is listed above.

By year four maybe five they have a bachelors- well the wait list is still full another two years.

But they would ha e a degree and can even start PhD if they wanted.

Instead they sit and wait and have more babies - why? Because they are being paid and will get into section 8 and stay there until the last great grand child leaves or they pass.

I am going to ignore the racial overtones and comments on this thread just to make a few points.

First: I have known 2 people (maybe more) in my life on Section 8.
One is a mother of 4 who works her butt off and could not survive without it. Has wonderful kids who are smart and polite. And the mom dreams of starting her own business.

The second person I know is a woman who grew up in a horrible ghetto with a drug addicted mom who died of AIDS. She became a single mom herself. Worked like a dog, got a college degree and now is a successful homeowner with a dynamite job.

Second: The people who receive the help have to jump thru all types of hoops to get it. Fill out endless forms, meet deadlines, wait in lines. Constantly follow-up, etc.
The LANDLORD/SLUMLORD who actually GETS the money doesn't have to do CRAP! And they usually DON'T. They get the money straight from the government so if the tenant has issues with things they don't even return the calls half the time.
Additionally, they charge almost double the rent when the government is paying for it.

And lastly, the program needs to be changed to GIVE the money to the people who are using it and help them buy homes that they can actually afford, even if it is a trailer. That would be a better use of the money and I am sure that if the people on the receiving end had a stake in it they would do much better than the way things are done currently.

Just my 2 cents.

Nice! Nothing like strong-arming people into doing something with their own personal property and doing it with Soro's backing to-boot.

They created that many years ago and they ONLY rent to foreigners and "minorities" (who have multiple children). So FUCK THEM and their lies.
Hopefully it's Trump , finally, giving back all the rentals Obama took from the single blue collar working man & woman.

That is not going to go over well.
In a matter of months or years, depending
on who gets rented to, those properties
will be abandoned or sold to the highest
bidder. Probably end up in hands of the
banks or government because the landlords
will not lose money for long.
In my area a commissioner tried to pass
a bill or statute that would allow the city
to confiscate any property whose occupants
are found with drugs.
Look at what happened to Cairo,Ill. But not
sure what caused its demise. Poor people are
struggling to survive.
We all know how well the government

Their was a speech given by a former Secretary of HUD by a women that detailed the corruption and money laundering that took place there. I can't find it. Billions literally.

Maybe not a Secretary but someone very high up in the organization.

What needs to be done is to stop making it impossible to reach at least lower middle class , mid middle class lifestyle and to stop punishing working blue collar workers

There needs to be cap on rent and skyrocketing property values and property tax


Everything should be assessed fairly at fair market value

I'm tired of hearing about the poor. Since I was a kid the poor haven't figured out how to get out poverty, yet we ALL know how to get out of poverty.
