Sergio knows all, but we have the poor guy swamped with work, I hate adding to his workload. Edit* Actually I think Disturbed just might be available for this very type of work, not sure, but I already sent him the link, I'm sure he'll let you know. ..|.. |

Actually, I'm more worried about choosing the wrong host or package. The generic template sites couldn't be that difficult to follow, but then again, it would be worth the extra $ to have someone do it for me that would do it right the first time and make it look nice. |

You're welcome. He has built 3 sites so far, with more coming. Most are templates I believe, but he has learned the code to customize them. He pretty much does it all. Here is his first one [link to marcozz.com] You can look around. I'm sure he'll be here tomorrow morning. ..|.. |

If your website will be your company i would go for a vps or dedicated server. Feel free to contact me. webmasterATmarcozz.com |

General questions. Go to hostgator and get a baby account ($10 per month). Hostgator will give you nameserver addresses. Go back to namecheap and point your domain name at the nameserver addresses. Load your website via FTP (get a free FTP called FileZilla) to your hostgator account. Unless you build your web pages yourself, you will have to pay someone to do it (this could cost you a bit though). That's it. |

One other thing. If you have clientle and are pointing them--business cards etc to your site is one thing BUT if you are looking to get internet traffic to your site you really have to advertize it.--ie--Keywords are also important--and good luck. Once you have your model up and going-get a good webmaster and/or a professional site builder. |

General questions. Normally 3 to 5 pages for small company unless you have a great deal of inventory to place on site. Are you wanting a shopping cart or just a site to tell about your company? I can register it for you and get your webhost for about $50.00 then the $300. is for my profit for labor of building the 3 to 5 page site. Depending on how much bandwidth you use a year it can cost as little as $20.00 per year for webhost plus the cost of re-registering your domain name $15.00 to $40.00 for re-registering. You have to re-register your domain each year or you will lose it (or three years if you choose the three year purchase). You can buy it for up to three years too but that cost more up front. If it is larger site it costs more. I need the work or may have to check out going to Canada like a guy mentioned last night ;-) so am doing low cost offers right now. Contact me here and mention you saw it on GLP in the subject line. Hope to hear from you. [email protected] |

I use BlueHost as my hosting service and it runs about $95.00 for a registered domain name and account hosting for a year. They also allow for 5 additional sub-domains. Great deal! |

In order to go ahead and secure the domain name, does anyone have a suggestion for the best place to register? So far I've heard of ipower, godaddy, and one other. Again, thanks for all the info! |

Then buy the book by Elizabeth Castro on HTML and you'll be up and running in no time. |
