when i was a child in the 80s, we (the american public) were inundated with news stories about the horrors of apartheid and the injustices that were being perpetrated by the minority whites on the majority blacks.

fast-forward 30 years and the same media that spoke out about apartheid incessantly are silent on the atrocities and injustices being committed against the minority whites by the majority blacks.

the news media in the US, through what i now see as meddling in foreign affairs by tugging heart strings, are complicit in causing the problem in South Africa and, by not reporting on the current situation, are allowing, maybe even encouraging, it to continue.

my heart goes out to you and others that are in your shoes, Daan. I have sent multiple emails to Senator Dean Heller, to which I have yet to get a response, demanding that the immigration gates be opened and refugee status be granted to any and all south africans that have seen their government turn against them and become targeted for no reason other than the color of their skin.

I understand how bad it is for you. What can we do to help,apart from the obvious...spreading the word etc.?

Is there anything we can do that we have not thought of ? Penned a few letters to Uk politicians already. That only any good though if done en masse. Chatting in the pub here gets total agreement and empathy to your predicament. I don't know how effective public meetings, rather than demos, may be in the present climate of media mud throwing and selective information and downright lies. The legality under stupid so called "hate speech" law are also limiting our exposure to the truth.

So glad you're here with us, Danie.

I completely understand about not leaving. I would give up my land and everything I own to stay with my family and that includes my animal family. Unless we could ALL be moved, together, I wouldn't leave. People who ask why Afrikaners "just don't leave" are not fully thinking out that question but reacting to what they're seeing. The truth is that the vast majority of us are very dug in in our homes and with those we love.

Hi Danie. Was wondering if there are any legit organizations that can help you guys on the logistics and international law side?

There needs to be strong, central leadership to represent the many voices.

And people want to donate to an organization that can actively help..or at least they can spread the awareness through social media.
