It's a statement that they've lost a future customer. If you own a business and you are providing a product that survives off of repeat business then it is imperative that you not piss off your customers. My disapproval with them is minimal...I haven't owned Nike products in years because they are overpriced garbage that thrives off of Chinese children in sweat shops.

Not forgotten, this still goes on today in many areas of product. As a hobbiest beader i am familiar with the time and effort in creating items. Was completely floored at how much outsourced beaders were paid to produce items. The curiosity of why a Potay necklace was soooo cheap in cost puzzled me considering the amount of effort to create. I researched where it was from and the wages to make them. Was floored! Freaking slave labor, like 50 cents an hour. Needless to say it pissed me off so much that a shopping channel would profit from such products of slave labor. I quit watching jewlery shopping channels all together. All of them now for that matter.
