Beautuful coin though. I have some 2017's, the first year of the Krugerand silver mintage.

Funny how they've had gold Krugerrands since the early 1970's , but never mad a silver one until last year.

Probably not. I've got some silver "Krugerrands" from the late 1990s. They're privately minted rounds. Real .999 silver, just not the official SA government coin.

Did anyone else read that the US Mint is currently out of SAE's as of today? Very odd, since the alleged demand has been very low based on published numbers? Did someone come in and buy it all up when it touched 14? Maybe a JP Morgan type or some other institution?

Heard about that, but think this has happened before so it's not that unusual. This is a good time to take advantage of spot deals like at SD Bullion and Bold Precious Metals. They give first time buyers a few different items at spot. If you pick some up for spot today, even if ag fell to $12 you got a good deal.

Definitely a frustrating time to be a long time holder, but will never turn down an opportunity to stack more at these prices.

I concur: as a long time stacker, there is nothing better than cost averaging down during artificially low priced silver, especially if one adjusts for inflation. This may be the cheapest silver ever, if one factors in inflation IMO...

I am getting a little concerned about the gold to silver ratio breaking out. Normally, pm prices soar once the 80 to 85 ratio is achieved, but that's not happening this time. If we see a breakout to 87 into 90, we could see a serious breakdown in silver prices. Might only last a couple weeks, but this could go on for years.

I know where the price will eventually land, but we could potentially see a 90's scenario with pm price stagnation that last for 5 to 8 years. That's worst case scenario, but it's possible.

I have always said that silver would be the poor mans gold. I continue to believe silver is where it’s at.

Bullion banks are now long the gold market for the first time in 17 years! They also massively increased their long (for the first time in history) silver positions as they continuing (sic) tightening the noose around hedge funds and speculators that are massively short the gold and silver markets. Now they are preparing to unleash a historic short squeeze.

I buy silver in 1,000 troy oz bulk lots (mule backs), Silver Town wire payment is the cheapest.

Very wise choice with the gold to silver ratio sitting at almost 85:1.

Does anyone purchase physical copper? When you look at copper bullion the premium seems real high.

I've been noticing a lot of stock outs. I can't get 100 ounce bar from Provident and there advertising $.25 over spot. Also Provident is stocked out of their cheaper bullion like generic rounds that are discounted the most. If prices stay the same or keep dropping we may see some inventory shortages.

That did seem likely to happen a month ago ... but just looked at the new COT report ... some entity bailed the shorts out big time ... my guess is federal reserve or another central bank in the world with Monopoly "money" (debt)

Do not buy copper bullion ... 1.) storing any amount of wealth in it would take warehouse 2.) it's outrageously priced

If you must buy copper pennies but do not pay more than 2 cents a piece for them

Exactly why the largest single transfer of wealth in the history of mankind will occur at some point when central banks run out of bullets and faith is lost in worlthless pieces of debt instruments ( fiat money )

The revaluation of gold and by proxy silver to back a new currency will be Astronomical

Keep in mind there is not enough silver on the planet to give more than 1/25th of an ounce to each person ... let that sink in
