I hope you realize that the Trump candidates were running against other Republicans. Democrats have flipped legislative seats 43 times so far since Trump was elected. Republicans have flipped something like four.

Meanwhile, of all the primary votes cast so far this year, 53% have been for Democrats. In 2014, it was 47%. Going into the 2006 election - when the Democrats picked up 31 seats and took over the House - it was 54%.

Your right The Democrat turnout is higher and is apparently due to the greater number of contested primaries this year. That would be Democrats trying to run against other previously uncontested democrats...

You can tout all the "voter engagement" numbers you want but it doesnt help when that "engagement" is due to the fact that your party is self destructing
