It’s not the same.

In my world 'weird' was on another thread, lol. Those 3 in a row events are usually 'the best'.
Bannock is a nice change and they don't have to be in a circular shape, that way you can spin the plate so you can attack the pancake from the best angle.

Perhaps that was cookie dough I was thinking of. DO NOT eat the stuff that makes it fluff up by itself, not that anybody would be so dumb to try that, . . . cough.

My exact combo, made in this order:

Sesame bagel
Cream cheese
Capers
Lox
Sliced tomato
Sliced red onion

....with fresh coffee.

I've been going through a pancake phase recently.

We've been broke as a joke lately and can barely afford food, so pancakes are a cheap option.

I made my daughter some chocolate chip pancakes, and I made myself one too and OMG it was heavenly! I probably put in too many chips and lots of butter, but it was amazing!

I was given some bags of refrigerated miniature blueberries, perfect for pancakes.

Then recently I had some leftover heavy whipping cream that was getting too thick, so I decided to separate it into the butter and buttermilk. Then I turned the butter into honey butter, and made homemade buttermilk pancakes using the buttermilk. Threw a handful of blueberries in the batter and OMG, again heaven!

I haven’t sat down in 22 years myself. I completely understand your situation. Feels like the only time there is happiness is consuming things like pancakes, pizza, and alcohol. It’s terribly hideous, and not everyone understands.
