Re: 1972
ERm.. 'Oxygene', 'Popcorn' and 'I feel love' are known for being made with those Analogue (discrete components, like an old radio) modular synthesisers, early ARP, Moog and Roland etc; very few digital parts to music tech' around at this time, and if they were they were usually just sequencing (like a piano roll) and not responsible for the sound qualities at all. Digital synths were more the mid-eighties, the Yamaha DX7 had people abandoning 'Analogue' synths in droves, driving down their values, killing Moog ARP etc. and leading to the young and poor of the time being able to get hold of those lovely old machines and invent acid house.

I remember back in the day calling it "electronic music" as I think it was titled while being developed. Perhaps the op was lumping it all together under the misnomered title "digital music"

Listening to this just makes me realize how this entire world has gone to ****. They kill off the good people leaving behind just the most evil of the evil...

You have to have hope in a better future.

At least "hope" can then live in your head, rather than fear and hopelessness at some of the reality we are now living through.

Some of us, like me, remember better times in the past. I have hope that someday they will return. The world cannot be this bad for too much longer. Globalism is dying, that is hope with substance, that is a start for better times, at least I hope.

Take care
