Webcast for SpaceX Announcement About the First Lunar Space Tourist
Here's a link to the webcast tonight announcing changes to the BFR/BFS design (the landing gear will now come out of the wingtips ala Heinlein) as well as the first confirmed customer/tourist for a trip around the moon and back:

The webcast will start at 6pm pacific, 9pm eastern, 01:00 UT tonight.

They're now rolling the pre-show bumper music, show starts in 8 minutes.

No offense to you OP, I respect you and find your posting fascinating. I just wanted to say that the world is full of catastrophe weather related as it is and people need to leave the Moon ALONE. That is begging for it.

I want to go! How much for a ticket? I never thought that they would be offering civilian trips to space in my lifetime... I know they are still a long ways off from doing this. But its still cool as fuck.

If you want to stay down here, that's fine and you can. If you want to form a charity for babies crushed by downed trees or old people drowning, you can. What you will not and cannot do is decide what a private citizen and his private company do with their money and time. This is SpaceX's own rocket and their own objective. If spaceflight is of no interest to you, then get off my threads.

Hey Astro,

What do you think about the idea that the bottom two wings will be hinged, to fold upwards slightly to stabilize the angle of attack during re-entry. Then fold back for landing.

I was watching Everyday Astronauts live stream about Musk’s tweet, and he showed some schematics that someone drew up, which included the folding wings.

I think it’s a pretty ingenious idea, if they can get the folding mechanism to work reliably. Of course we will find out tonight what changesvthey have made to the design. Looking forward to it.

I think they'll either fold or rotate to flip around. It should be very interesting to see what they've come up with.

I offered you the chance to come and see it in person, I offered you a free airline ticket to come and see this right here in Florida. You refused. I do not want to hear another word from your mouth accusing this of being CGI after you chickened out and refused to put your own beliefs to the test. I put my money where my mouth is. It's real, and you are too much of a coward to see it for yourself.

You are living proof that if you could offer a moon hoax believer a lawn chair to see an Apollo landing occur in person on the moon, and if they knew you had the ability to actually make that happen, they'd refuse to accept the offer and see it for themselves. These hoax believers are intellectual cowards.

I don't have a billion dollars to blow on a ticket, but if I did, I would.

In response to hearing that I was taking a close up tour of a rocket launch pad just before a launch, one of my haters on here said to me that "if it blows up on the pad and takes you with it, I'll call that a successful test." I'm thinking you're actually in that camp as far as what you think I "deserve."

Sure, that's why you popped into this thread to refer to me as a "mouth breathing retard." That's not respectful at all, especially to someone who offered you a free trip to Florida from the UK. Honestly I should just ban you from my threads and be done with you.

You're right, it was. I was fully prepared to follow through, had the money ready to go. I thought it would be nice to show at least one SpaceX denier that these things are actually really happening, not CGI. When push came to shove, he wasn't even willing to put my money where his mouth is, which really showcases just how badly he lacks the courage of his convictions.

After what's happened this past week with me being accused of lying about my identity and using a sock puppet on YouTube to bash flat earthers (this was in reaction to my live stream of asteroid 2018 RC which I provided free for people out of my own time and hardware), I'm honestly done tolerating abuse from people that I have been more than kind to. He's done posting on my threads. If anyone else wants to abuse me for being generous, they can get the ban hammer too.
