Re: Long Time GLP Member In Serious Need Of Help
A quick update for everyone that's been following and wants to know...

As of this morning, with the GFM campaign and donations made directly from those that chose that route the total so far is at $4400!

Thank you All so very much. hearts

As far as using it goes, I haven't touched it as I'm a bit leery of making any moves just yet. I still had enough left in my bridge card to have food, and no bills have come due. I'm seriously brainstorming on how to use it to make more, but I haven't come up with anything that's low risk high reward. If anyone has any ideas on how I can make a few quick, and especially SAFE turnovers they'd be very welcomed. Right now my best idea is flipping some cars/trucks, people are getting their late tax returns and it's a good month or so before X-mas season really gets rolling. I have a very small amount in Bitcoin and I'm doing some day trading, but it's just too risky unless I can afford the loss.

On housing, I've been staying with my son for the last month or so, but it's a one bedroom apartment and I really hate cramping his style, lol. He's a 23yr old, very handsome single man that as a great career, is a total gentleman just like his old man, smart, very funny and just an all around great young man. I don't like impeding his lifestyle at all, been on his ass to find a good woman, and having his dad at home isn't gonna propagate that, at all, lol. He had to come home to live with me four years back, at the time I was single and had a one bedroom. I gave him my room and bed, and I took the couch. He made a promise to save as much as he could, and only stay as long as he needed to to save enough to get on his feet while he was starting a new career, and he did just that. Now he's done the same for me, said it was his honor, even gave me his room and bed, bout broke my heart. My medical needs are daunting at times, many mornings I can barely even dress myself, I really don't like putting all this stress on him.

Cindy has asked me to come back, to try to work things out, I just don't know, I'm really torn. The way it ended left a serious scar on my soul, and regardless of forgiveness I'm not one that ever forgets, and to be honest any trust I had of feeling safe was completely destroyed that night. My jury is out, the verdict nowhere near a decision.

On a beautiful note, it was my Mom's Birthday this past Sunday. She came to visit, and as we were talking I noticed that her hair was very dry and brittle, and looked in serious need of care. I asked her about it, she said she hadn't been to a salon in 20yrs, that she had been cutting it herself bcz she just can't afford to go, but she has tremors in her hands now and can't really cut it anymore. verysad I had already given her a card and her favorite chocolates as a small gift, but as soon as I heard that I knew I had to pay it forward and make someone else feel beautiful, so as soon as she left I called my girl and made her an appointment to get a treatment and a cut and style.

Knowing my situation she fought me on it, but in the end I won out and she kept the appt yesterday. She stopped by to show me her new look, she was so proud and happy that she was absolutely glowing!! She looked 20yrs younger, seriously, she was so beautiful that it made me cry, even thinking about it now is bringing tears to my eyes. So another big thank you to You All, if not for you my Mom would also have that much less of a smile today. hearts

Your a hell of a fighter, keep fighting!

Thank you deeply Brother, got a notification late last night, it's deeply appreciated man. I should've been participating with the show already, my head's been in other places though. I used to have my own talk radio show back in the day, giving the support back in that way is the least I can do, you'll be seeing me going forward.

Bet I will, it's all I've known all of my life. yessir macgun rockon

I read a portion of that the online book written in, damn, can't remember the year, but it's old...the one about the youngest son. Need to find it again so I can finish it. Weird shit Brother.

I'm so moved that you would gift your mom like that
--even in the face of your difficult times. That is just
so beautiful. I also read the comment about your relationship
and if you don't mind my saying so, I think you might just
want to focus on your own health now. If you want to work
on your relationship, you would probably do best to work
on if from a safe distance since I've found that adding
emotional challenge to an already challenged physical body
will slow your recovery...It is sad, but I've seen this and
experienced it myself. On the flip-side...a strong and supportive love will jump-start a physical recovery too...
Just figure out the positives and negatives in your current
situation and emphasize the positive.

Sending you my assist the first of next month, kiddo.
Hang in there. We have you in prayer.

It moved me to be able to act on what my soul wanted, and also knew she NEEDED. Mom has struggled so very much, not just monetarily, but also with her confidence, individuality and sense of self worth. I knew in that moment that what I was doing for would change her life for the better in many ways. She fought me on it so hard, and she was terribly afraid of the change it would bring, but man, when she finally followed thru, wow, what a change I saw in her!

I totally agree with you on the relationship aspect, it's far too much to deal with right now, and I feel much safer where I am. Thanks TOC, and thank you in advance for the help, you're deeply appreciated my friend.

Re: Long Time GLP Member In Serious Need Of Help
Should probably give y'all a quick update since I'm here today...the total donations for the campaign so far including the ones sent directly to my home and bitcoin wallet is $4628!

I have had to dip into it now just a bit, but I'm still living like a pauper, and doing my best to make it last as long as possible. I had thought that the campaign had probably peaked, inda felt that way, but with the last comment from ~ + ~ maybe it'll pick up again a bit.

I've talked with a good friend of mine, he sells used cars at a B-Lot, makes six figures and has a ton of great connections as well as a great eye for hot, low cost buys. I'm going to use probably 3/4's of what's been donated and he's going to match me, we're going to use it to flip some cars. We should be able to buy 2-3 vehicles right away, I'm going to keep rolling the investment over and make the most of it for as long as possible.

Thank you ALL again, I'm soooooo grateful to have you on this journey with me, my soul is brimming with hope that I haven't felt in a very long time. hearts

Flipping cars is a good way to earn money quickly! I just sold an 1998 Plymouth Voyager for $200.00 bucks more then I paid for it 4 years ago (it was well maintained). Good idea. Get well there buddy!

I'm workin on it Brother, the new energy and feeling like I'm contributing in ways that I haven't been able to for a long time is definitely helping my mental recovery. I took a big hit there, never expected that.

Thanks Brother, luck and some selling skills, lol. Yeah, just not enough in the kitty yet to go with trucks, working with 6K to start, can flip 3 nice cars outta that, and make a cpl K. Once we roll it a cpl times we'll move to trucks, that's actually the plan. I need to replace my Lilith, so I'm working towards doing just that plus still having the original investment to keep rolling for income. Flipping cars is a good way to earn money quickly! I just sold an 1998 Plymouth Voyager for $200.00 bucks more then I paid for it 4 years ago (it was well maintained). Good idea. Get well there buddy!

I've done it with him a few times, but it was a few years ago when I needed some quick cash, made 500-750 per car each, took about 2-3 wks to roll em. He really has a great eye for deals like that, he's gonna find em, I'll do the selling being I'm at home all day, split it 50/50.

Christ, I hate talking about her, every time I think about it my guts twist up, fuck me.

Hey Brother, saw you on the GFM page, thank you very very much! Yep, I'm in Macomb County, a few hours south of you. I used to have land in Grayling, right on the 9th hole of Sugar Springs Golf Course, had to sell it though, love it up your way.

Just saw this Brother, pardon the delay...here's 3 pics, took these just before I had to sell her. She's an 04 Ram 2500 4x4, 5.7 Hemi, loaded, was on her way to the custom shop for body work, custom paint and new wheels before all this happened. Interior was mint, and already had her hooked up under the hood...chipped up, headers with custom dual exhaust, all K&N, brand new transfer case and trans, heavy duty brakes, yadda yadda yadda. Sold her to a plow company and got over blue book plus everything I put into her so I was at least happy with that.

The pics do her no justice, she wasn't just a truck, she had an insane soul, my apocalypse warrior goddess. rockon

So, how's the car flipping business going?

Ugghhh, not going anywhere at the moment, and might not go anywhere at all. Dave called me yesterday, got all psyched kuz I thought he had a few hits. Turns out he called to let me know he got a job offer he couldn't refuse, in fucking Arizona, lol. He's probably gonna be leaving in a week. Being he's the buyer and was matching funds, I'm kinda shit outta luck.
