The bad guy was barricaded inside of a structure with a high powered long gun. Not too hard to imagine what kind of carnage a hunting rifle can do to bullet proof vest or the side of vehicles. Through shots probably. Very sad for the police due to amount of cops injured. The police officer who passed away had just gotten his 30 year service pin. The shooter was taken into custody, though.
