There are some Romanian singers who copy US rap and hip-hop singers and their style and vocabulary. But I steered clear of that since it's not really originally Romanian, but just copied.

There are also Gypsy singers singing in Romanian (like someone posted before), but that's not really Romanian music, so I'll avoid that.

I'll keep this thread about Romanian music and will try to open others about Romanian country and history.

I've seen that most threads about Romania on GLP are started by a crazy guy (Lucian Apollo whatever) who makes no sense so I'll try to counterbalance that.

One thing I can say though is that Romania has a bad image in Western Europe because 15% of its population are Gypsies and most of them are in Western Europe begging and engaging in crime. So most of the time a Western European hears "Romanian" he thinks "Gypsy" which isn't actually accurate.

Do many people speak English - can an English speaker explore this country?
