When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace. jimi Believe nothing you hear and only half of what you see. I'm just a product of insufficient modality. Humans of Earth! I have come in peace. You need not fear me. I mean you no harm. However, it may be important to know that most of you will not survive the next 24 hours. And those of you who do survive will be enslaved and experimented on. You should in no way take any of this personally — it's just business! |

I would think (I WOULD HOPE) we would have something now in place to combat that Super interesting read. Puts future cyber warfare into a new perspective for me. China probably has several other similar chips and hacks in our tech that are still undiscovered. It's pretty stunning to think about. |

And either prevent an actual national emergency text...or even make their own? Quoting: martian. I don't know ... Even if my theory doesn't hold water, it is a very good and frightening read. I was thinking that "we" the US Government have identified how the chip works and was testing it or possibly "killing it?" |

FEMA says on its website, "WEA capabilities were available beginning in April 2012, but many mobile devices, especially older ones, are not WEA-capable." That could explain my iphone 4. Not finding any software update related info though. Last Edited by Left Brain on 10/04/2018 06:18 PM |

In order to receive an alert, the phone's OS and cellular carrier must both be configured to support the protocol, and alerts have to be enabled in the phone's settings menu(only applies to certain Android phones, usually rooted). If you didn't receive one, it's probably due to one of those 3 issues. Or maybe you had no reception when it was sent.
