Wow. Been many years since I last thought about this. I was a kid but I do remember it.

I went to school with one of the crew members, David Weiss. He was a cadet in the Great Lakes Maritime Academy at Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City. He was doing an internship on the Fitz when it went down. Although I didn’t know him personally, as I was in a different program (electronics), we had classes just down the hall from each other.

When I hear the Fitz song, reminds me of this one. Used to sit down by the river back in the day with my gf and listen to our Walkman...lol
