Thanks for sharing. Loved him, and yes, music is not what it used to be. Quoting: akasuzanne Rusty Cage was written and performed by Soundgarden in the 1990s. Johnny Cash covered it. He did a great job though. There is still a little bit of freedom in music, but it's few and far between and usually a bit obscure. Here's one by Clutch off off their new album. It has a great message, but sadly, mostly only Clutch fans will hear it. |

I know a sound engineer, he explained the loss of emotional dynamics with the introduction of cut and compressed music formats like .mp3 . People may not be able to feel it anymore due to that, so it obviously resulted in digital "clean" music, true or false. Thats complete extraterrestial to me as its missing the vibes ^^ I think we are not allone in the universe but we are pretty outstanding when it comes to emotions. Oh and btw, thx for Clutch, aint knew him/them/it yet \m/ Last Edited by Rawfox on 10/10/2018 09:55 AM |

I have friends in a metal band and their demos always sound great, but as soon as they go into the studio and record digitally, it loses a lot of feeling. Then after the mixing and mastering process, it just sounds so sterile. Im not a fan of overly polished music. Compressed music is great for travel and such, but I agree that it loses a lot of quality, depth and feeling. Clutch is a great band that covers a variety of genres. There old stuff is really heavy, but the newer stuff us more blues/rock oriented. |
