Psychiatry in my experience is where a Dr listens to your symptoms and then prescribes a compound or chemical to change your symptoms based upon their medical diagnosis. A psychologist talks to you and tries to understand what you are going through and helps to guide you through as best as possible without destroying yourself. I have had major depression for about 20 years, and found that the battery of SSRI meds that are employed as a first line of intervention caused me FAR more issues (potentialy life ending) than being depressed ever did. Depression is a drag, but going insane may be more of a drag. Good luck. Last Edited by ol' scratch on 10/12/2018 05:29 AM This is the real deal, not a rehearsal. Do your best and don't screw it up. |

I went through what seemed like a "nervous breakdown" in 2003 which turned out to be high levels of Hg in my system. Western medicine can take a person going through something as nebulous as a breakdown into the complete abyss. They did everything to me and nearly killed me. Terrifying ordeal and the medications?! Holy f'ing shite! Things that can cause a meltdown now: Toxicity (metal, chemical, etc.) RF / EM exposure Biotoxins from microbiological sources (lyme, mycotoxins) Trauma (physical / emotional) And naturally combinations of the above. Hope the dude putts his way outta the weeds. Avoid meds though. Never seen anything good happen long term from those. "I'm finished . . with the checking . . of the bag . . converSAtion" |
