Well known for a looooong time. In terms of Christianity it's even written about in the Bible. Humans love marketing anything even existential answers and guidance.

Any pastor connected to the prosperity gospel is a charlatan. Most Christians know that.

My brother’s family down in Texas has fallen prey to this

They give everything to the church, time, money, volunteer mission trips

They have to pay their own way to Africa to do church work and beg us all for money to travel there

My niece is getting married and her soon to be husband quit college to become a missionary

Scripture nails it every time.

I do not understand church ...it is at everyone of them a game show. Pastors rarely know anything about God to be able to teach what God is.

So they can carry around the NWO flags with them. Any church which has a flag in .. in particular the ones with the gold fringe on them.. are NWO organizations. Flea from those churches.

They don't have to be RICH Pastors either to be part of the NWO religion controlled churches...They can be "average " dudes with average jobs who are part time pastors too... Most get some backing secretly though if needed and your missionaries going to other countries are spreading the NWO and NOT CHRIST.

I feel bad for my brother and his family, he’s only 12 months younger than me but because of severe learning disabilities he graduated HS 4 years after I did

He’s a gentle giant with a huge heart, hate to see him taken advantage of, thank goodness my Dad is able to help support them otherwise they would probably be homeless because of this

Sounds like they found something easy to do for them. The lure of foriegn monkey people and getting to be "the good superior white who teaches us walmart!" Without any human relative education ot experience is a potent drug for some. ? Maybe they do somebody some good who knows?

I'm not knocking church at all. Some are really good for humans. Most people can tell the difference.

Groups of people trying to understand an ot passage and a nt passage the best they can, praying, doing fellowship and good works; they are legit...or they are at least trying, looking, searching in the dark rather than a false light. No matter how much money they have or don't.
People can usually tell who has any sincerity and who is just kind of an actor.

Many churches today are run like businesses. The mega churches have what I call, indoor malls, I guess they forgot that Jesus drove the sellers out of the church.

I had a relative who was dying of cancer. The church called his wife and asked why they hadn't payed their 10% dues.
She told the person that they were strapped for money because of his medical expenses. They responded with, "that's no excuse."

I do happen to believe that there are still some good churches out there. Though they are difficult to find. I've visited several churches and most were not welcoming, most had big shows to draw people in, like smoke filled stages with giant screens, (like a concert.)

One I visited, the pastor was answering questions that the congregation texted him. He couldn't answer half the questions. It was very sad to see.

The absolute best place to get the truth is by doing what Jesus said, seek, knock and ask.

And what Paul said, "Study to show yourself approved..."

I'm sorry he is being taken advantage of charlatans who claim they are Christians. These kind of so called ministries are not of Christ.
I hope he finds his way out.
