I drive a company vehicle and we are REQIUIRED to back into parking spaces - NOT asked REQUIRED. Safe driving studies have shown that one of the most dangerous maneuvers a driver can make is backing out of a parking space - I enjoy my job, so if you see me backing into a space it is for employment reasons - just saying

You tend to have less line of sight obstacles in the way when backing in as compared to backing out, when parking close to the storefront anyways. I tend to park where others don’t when in my personal vehicle.

man this is a tough one.. if I were the judge in this case, I'd have to just settle on community service for both of them - and their service would be a timeout from driving in motor vehicles at all for a month. they would have to either walk, jog or ride a bike to the store to buy their pork rinds and lard fat to fry the empenadas in..

in the long run it would be for their own good because it would help both of them lose some weight, which would result in their livers not being so taxed, and therefore they wouldn't become so enraged and angry over little things like a parking space where all you have to do is go park a few feet further down the lot and walk your ass an extra 30 feet or so..

I have lived in rural Pennsylvania for 9 years. Most of the people are courteous, in fact, sometimes too courteous. For example, stopping to let someone turn in front of them into their driveway and holding up traffic.

The other day, I had to drive to New Jersey. I saw someone let someone in and the guy behind this person started to blow his horn and then, the once courteous driver, opened their window and flipped off the guy blowing his horn.

I never see that here. Maybe it is because most of us are armed. This kind of behavior here - by the man AND/OR the woman - could easily get you shot. An armed society is a polite society.

That's why more often then not I adhere to the rules of the road rather than being too courteous.
