It just needs to be scrapped in favor of a new system or provide a way to report karma abuse as it occurs, like abusive posts on threads can be easily reported and then dealt with by mods. Need to be clearly defined karma comment rules that display when posting karma that if violated results in a strike. Enough strikes and account is closed.
