I have to admit that it makes me a little nervous. The tensions have been escalating for quite some time. At least preparing is not the same as declaring war, however, one big mistake and everything could kick off.

The tinderbox just needs its spark.

I think everybody senses that war is coming.

The fact that Russia and China are telegraphing their preparations means they don't want war but see it coming.

The US is saying the exact same thing. "Pivot to the Pacific" has been ongoing and not in secret. Generals constantly speak about how we are refitting our military for fighting near peer enemies. The US only has 2 near peers.

The US and China have both drawn lines in the South China sea and those lines cross each other. Neither side will back down.

Yah but they would be remiss if they as a country didnt prepare for war, that is to say, all countries prepare to/for battle. Someone is reading more into this then needs to be, ie fearmongering.

True News and the Express are tabloid, fear-mongering and utter bullshit. It grabs the readers attention, but the basis of it all is just posturing by all sides.

The reality is, we're entering into a Fourth Turning and war is likely inevitable at some point in the future, but when and how it is triggered is anyone's guess.

This is saber-rattling for sure. The reality was between the US/China/Russia will end humanity because all sides have very advanced nuclear technology. MAD has kept us in a state of peace preventing or at least delaying WWIII giving us an umbrella of peace.

I guarantee had we not created this nuclear umbrella, a conventional WWIII and likely even WWIV would have happened now. Never has waged war presented consequences that could make an entire planet extinct.

The real problem is when tensions get escalated as they are right now, it's the mistakes that are more likely to bumble us all into war. Look during the cold war for examples how that tension almost triggered a nuclear war.

Are we at risk of war... always. Does that mean it's going to happen? It's all statistical probability. There is a probability that it can happen, just as much as there is a probability that it can't.

Once it does happen, there is no going back for anyone.

This has been said many times over the past few years...

Watch more as to what we are doing, certain tells like mobilisation, stock piling areas all of a sudden becoming restricted, banks having heart attacks, oil sky rocketing, general commodities going through the roof...

All the above has been happening like a dripping tap so as not to cause as much panic and chaos, but when it all happens over night that's when it's time to shit yourself...

You'll find that when they say prepare for all possibilities including war, it's fear to increase spending and giving a boost to the markets, but when they say nothing and it just happens that's when war is here.

I think we are at least seeing signs leading up to it so when it does kick off we won't be shocked ie... everything seems peaceful and everyone is getting along then wham surprise attack.

Since 9/11/2001 the world has been in a very slow crawl towards WWIII with many provocations and escalations along the way, I have yet to see any real progress towards de-escalation. So for me, if it kicked off right now I would not be at all surprised or even 2 years from now due to the unstable geopolitical climate we are in.

History shows that the when empires spend less on military dictators plunge the world into war...

Yep, you are correct. I would assume that within the next 7-10 years or less there will be some kind of conflict. My guess is China will conduct a sneak attack on the US as they are feeling more embolden with what they think is a growing anti-US coalition along with their increasing global influence.

The steps we took with surrounding the entire east is what has kept the peace. Russia and china along with a smattering of middle eastern countries may think it's time to knock us down a peg but with trump at the helm it's hindering the decision to do it sooner rather than later. They think they are good to go I bet, and had we had hill it most likely would have happened by now.

Now comes into play the meddling into our elections--they can't afford to have another strong man leading this country like President Trump,so they are trying like hell to get another hill or obummer at the wheel so they can continue to take advantage of as as they grow ever more influential and militarily powerful.

Whatever happened to the fact China was never supposed to acquire a blue water navy or any ground forces that could project? They now have both.

For me we are still fighting WW1 in effect wars can all be traced back to one specific event, thats a history project and a half, what's concerning is the fact we are 100 years on 11/11 for the perceived end of WW1...

All we are seeing is a slope downwards to war, however it's the threat of war that will keep the dollar floating, when actual war begins it will probably be due to a miscalculation or an accident.
