Funny how a German guy gets the absurdity of it. Most people here don't see beyond the colors, symbols and mythology. Never even stop to think if the votes of any color have ever made a positive difference in their lives, or if the societal effect has been more freedom.

To the trumptards, economy and borders is everything ("Screw you, I've got mine!"). So, they get peddled that.

To the libtards, it's about being so open-minded that your brain falls out, enforcing groupthink and also borders. "I am right and it is oppressive to think in any other way!". So, they get peddled that.

In reality, your freedoms are stripped, your status as a producer drone is enforced and you're distracted from your problems by a finger pointing at your fellow citizens in the other tribe. Meanwhile the Party of One (all political establishment) laughs at your gullibility. Divide and conquer.

As long as you wear a color, you are working for them and legitimizing them and their virtual slave business.

If they held elections and nobody showed up, they'd lose their power. But no. You keep propping them up.

Just voted at 9:30; we were voters #137 and 139. Polls opened at 6:30.

Had to wait about 30 minutes, which is unusual for midterms.

I just drove by my voting place at just before 10AM. Parking lot is packed. This year, I voted early. But in previous years, I go and vote about this time of morning as there is no wait.

I think there are going to be higher voter turnouts than they thought.

It's barely 10 am and I'm already nervous as hell. I don't think this day can go much slower

I'm getting ready to head off to the Volunteer Fire Station to vote a straight red ticket in N. Ga.

With a population of under 400, I don't expect a long line. Plus, they always have coffee cookies and bowls of left over Halloween candy.

I get to vote chat with a few neighbors, and get my sugar fix.

I'm about to go vote straight "R" here in north Texas. Not a lot of enthusiasm about it like when I voted for Trump, but am going to "see it through" for his first four years anyway.
