User ID: 29212767 United States 11/06/2018 11:37 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I voted early. I went to the closest place to me. It's a conservative part. All mostly elderly people, most men wearing their veteran hats. The line was actually pretty long, but that's okay. There were people handing out literature. I didn't take any from either party but did tell the Democrat lady I didn't read propaganda. I heard a few chuckles. |

At the sign with a line, 50 feet from the polling door, there stood a middle aged lady offering a Democratic Guide. I politely declined, just "No Thank You". Turn out is outstanding, just as high or more than the 2016 Presidential Election... I overheard a citizen say that this is the first time I'm voting since Nixon. User ID: 74535574 United States 11/06/2018 11:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Just got back from voting in Northeast PA with a heavy Hispanic population. There were only 3 people standing in line at the polls, including myself. The first person (really heavy Hispanic accent, clearly unable to communicate in English) was apparently at the wrong voting location. The people working there were trying to tell him where to go, but he clearly had no idea what they were talking about. The Hispanic woman in front of me...they found her registered in the file, but asked her what her political party was. She replied, "Democrat." "...because it says you're a registered Libertarian." the poll worker replied. I got a little laugh out of that. The polling location is only 2 blocks away from my house, and on my walk home, less than a block from the polling location....two people hanging out in an alley surrounded by a super strong smell of marijuana. So...yeah, that was my voting experience lol. |

User ID: 35742228 United States 11/06/2018 11:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for starting this OP. Here's what I had posted earlier. I'm in California. Quoting: Paul Drake This year we received a postcard from our official California voter people. It said that we live in a precinct with less than 250 registered voters so we HAD to vote by mail this year. When we look up online for our polling place, we are met with the same information online - no polling place. Our polling place has always been 3 houses away from us (across the street) and we generally handcarry our ballots there, or surrender and vote on premises, just to make sure our vote is counted on the day, and not in a month (or never for all we know). Its nice to see neighbors and chat about the voting turn out, etc. With a city of over 65,000 people I wanted to see a precinct map, still unable to comprehend how there are only 250 registered voters in our precinct. Well woke up this morning to a street full of parked cars - look across the street and guess what - there is the same old polling place up and running! What in Sam Hell is going on here? Second issue - my son was issued a vote by mail ballot - he lives about a mile from me - his ballot never showed up so he wrote the voting folks, who suspended his original ballot and reissued another ballot to him. It took 7 business days for this new ballot to arrive - which actually arrived yesterday in his mailbox. The cutoff date to have it in the mail was..... YESTERDAY! If he had been unable to get around he couldn't just mail his ballot back through his mailman - and by the time he got home from work and voted on his ballot it was 5:30 at night - on a whim I drove him out to the post office and luckily they stayed open until 6 pm and we handed that ballot to a post office worker instead of putting in a bin somewhere that might not have been postmarked in time had we done that. He said 'mom I swear this is designed so I can't vote'. I think he's right. I'll post again after I visit our neighbors who hold the polling place. Honestly right now I'm very pissed off that we were treated differently than other folks. Something up with that!!! A little update - I FINALLY found a precinct map. Turns out our precinct has been split this year, into precinct#A and precinct#B - the B group is three triangles roughly one block in size, that are forced vote by mail, the triangles aren't even contiguous - probably 1/8th the size of the three precincts surrounding our split out precinct. Guess we're nothing more than a test group for their forced vote by mail next election. |

Poll worker said they had about 50 in line when they opened but was slowing down mid-morning. Heavy Republican/Conservative area that is starting to counter-balance the more liberal downtown Nashville votes. Checked my license, signed my name and voted. Easy. My two daughters, both in college, registered to vote and I'm pretty sure they did so via absentee ballot. They'll both vote more liberal, but still proud that they care enough to go to the effort and vote. I am Billy Ringo and I approve of this message. Paid for by belligerent derelicts for Ringo. |

But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." Marcus Tullius Cicero |

I promptly said how do I go about changing that, I wouldn't want him voting....(omg did I just say that out loud)...she looked a little stunned and said I've never had anyone ask me that LOL You have to train your mind to be stronger than your emotions or you will lose yourself every time |

User ID: 40196914 United States 11/06/2018 12:28 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Spring, Texas. Harris county. Suburb of Houston. No line. Open parking spaces. Took 5 minutes. Walk in. Hand one poll worker drivers license. She asks me to verify home address. Then a signature box pops up on a iPad like device in front of me. I sign my name with digital pen. A bar code then appears on the screen. My drivers license is handed to a second poll worker with a different IPad like device. She uses a scanner to scan the barcode on the other poll workers iPad. A ticket prints out with a four digit number. The second poll worker hands me my license and the ticket with the four digits. I walk over to one of the many open voting booths. Enter my number on the computer screen. Click straight republican ticket. Flip through all the pages of premarked republican candidates until I get to municipal judge. Flip that to democrat. I have no idea if the democrat is any good but I met the republican judge and I KNOW she is useless. Tab through the rest of the pages and make a few selections for non-partisan races including school board where I select all challengers - incumbents useless. Clicked finish... clicked submit vote. Walked out. Easy peazy. Have a nice day = GFY. GFY = Go Fuck Yourself. If this offends you then have a nice day. |

User ID: 30513709 United States 11/06/2018 01:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Here in Maryland, Harford County, north of Baltimore. Quick and painless. 9ish, went to work late. Hardly anyone there as most people work here. However... No ID needed! WTF?!? Just name, address, day and month of birth. So a quick google search of Baltimore residents, and you could vote several times, all day long. So normally I would encourage anyone to drive here and vote in place of a democrat... However, once you fill in your paper ballot, it is then scanned, WITH NO CONFORMATION on screen as to what you voted for. Not even a receipt. Just disappears into the ether! Never to be seen again. So at some point tonight the Corrupt election judges will report whatever they damn well feel like reporting. |

They just said no unless you knew your shit. The folks running it were all hella elderly and probably red too but if that had been a city dem affair it would have been heinous. Quoting: AeonSpirit Yeah I noticed a similar thing with early voting. The guy next to me didn't have a license, he handed some kind of photo ID that looked like a work badge. User ID: 20396732 United States 11/06/2018 01:33 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | In past years I've worked helping people to vote in Vegas. Most get their jobs because they know someone, and not because they're competent or able to do their job whatsoever. The previous dictator of voting, Larry Lomax, blatantly refused to hire anyone remotely attractive or youthful. I had to fight to be allowed to vote at least once because the poll workers were unfamiliar with election law and blatantly REFUSED to call their supervisors, even though no one else was at the polling location. In the past the DNC in NV has given coffee and doughnuts to homeless if they agree to be driven to the polls. They are then handed a list of people for whom to vote. Culinary & Teamsters' Union harass their members & retirees, with multiple in person visits, until they agree to vote the proscribed slate. They are handed lists. Many casinos also hand all of their employees preferred lists. Growing up in Chicago my neighbor told me union workers were given $ to vote the list. Everyone was afraid to deviate. |
