More or less Rural Kansas here, and was pretty calm and fast pace. Lots of people voting when I went in which was odd for about mid morning. In line people were talking about how it felt like as many people were involved as during the presidential election. Other than that almost everyone was carrying on like it was any other day in a small town. Very relaxed, conversations about Thanksgiving plans, kids running around in line, etc.
Only sniff I had of there being any security was an off-duty officer in civilian clothes helping with the check-in when people had to show ID. No protestors outside or picketers across the street.
