My grandmother and aunt, uncle and cousins lived there--what has happened?

I read it was a wealthy retirement town where wealthy people were provided their every need.

That was just a comment in a forum, though, so I don't know personally. I've never been there.

The forum had nothing to do with the fire and the comment was from some years ago.

Yes. Wildfires are part of living anywhere in Ca so naturally people of all stripes will be affected. I am suggesting some fires are targeted. Each one would need to investigated as to cause, speed it spread etc. Looking over the list of counties hit it did strike me as odd how many were conservative.

Sure wasn't like that in the 60s 70s 80s 90s when I would visit my Grandma and Aunt/cousins. Very modest homes. And they sure weren't wealthy.

I am still trying to grock that my childhood memories are now completely burned up! I cannot talk to any relatives about it as they dumped me years ago. (and I them)

Thanks I just can't believe it. The summers are unbearably hot and dry there, for this to happen in November is BIZARRE!

Question: Has it been dry recently or were there rains? If it hasn't been dry that adds even more evidence this fire was arson.

I am in southern Oregon, not too far from there. We have had some soaking rains, finally, that put out the nearby Klondike fire after 3 months! I would think that area would have gotten the rain, too, but I do not know.....

Looking at the fire map, It looks like there are some new fires around here (Rogue River/ coast)

It is kinda creepy around here because there is a siren that goes off at all hours every day and night (tsunami warning, mostly), but we are so desensitized we just ignore it and it's really LOUD.
