I left my whole purse at a store last week (oops). The manager locked in his trunk to assure that it was safe for me when I returned. There are people with great ethics and people with terrible ethics in every country of this world. I am sorry about your mom's experience. She met a shitty person- who HAPPENED to be in Mexico.
