"We work hard here. We don't get handouts. The government shouldn't be giving things to migrants when plenty of Mexicans are in a difficult position."
The illegals are arriving in Tijuana where they are being processed for possible entry into the United States. They reportedly are seeking asylum from political and civil strife in their own countries, but it's also true that criminals, drug dealers, and MS-13 gang members are using the caravan to try to slip into the United States.
Tijuana's mayor, Juan Manuel Gastelum, told Milenio television last week, "I would dare say that not all of them are migrants. Sure, there are some good people in the caravan, but many are very bad for the city." [ link to www.cnsnews.com (secure)] |
