When praying/meditating, what does God sound like to you?

An octopus

god uses the voice that he has given you and channels his message through that..

that's one thought..

Your conscience relays what you have said to god to one of gods many staff/receptionist and that gets analyzed by them and eventually reaches god when it's passed the tests/barriers to reform it into it's truest and purest intention

Wow that was deep ... I have given him full permission to take control of me and my life and to use me for his will.

Those little "insights" I told you I get, when im deep in thought, I notice I'm speaking them to myself sometimes as if he speaks through me.

I communicate with God mostly through direct thought/information transfer through my Heart, not voices. Voices might be demons or hallucinations.

It's not an audible voice, it's more like.... What you said, information transfer. I just don't know what to call it. But it's little insights of wisdom or encouragement and correction for me.

You can hear the angels singing before God appears. Often accompanied by musical notes.

Its a once in a lifetime experience. Some people will say its coincidence but its for you to discern.

In my own personal experience...

God is extremely smart, witty, a bit sarcastic and very funny.

I've been in such despair and hysterical, no one and nothing can calm down my trauma reactions...

Sometimes God says something extremely unexpected I know I could never come up witty. We can communicate back and forth, and I get wise, clever reflections back.

I know He is aware of Them spying though, and He's also following a "Law" it seems, like a rule, to respect our souls primal mission as a sovereign, free adventurer...

I never get a feeling of domination - despite being well aware of the absolute POWER in infinite wisdom behind Him.

What I do feel is compassion with my frustration when I childlishly ask for cheat codes to bypass certain challenges I face.

He does LEAD me through the fire. I know I'm never alone.

He's like a good coach who stands next to watch over me, nudge me at times, but mostly in silent waiting for me to GET IT and rise above my own mind limits and programming.

I've told God to go to hell, and He never punish me for being angry... I was taught though that as soon as my stupid, asshole self think bad thoughts, or judge someone, God knows and I end up in that persons situation...

I could share more, but I must take a break...


PS. He also talks in images, symbols, syncronicities.

He always reminds me that this little personal me is just forgetting about my connection to the Source, and in doing so, depression and meaningless kicks in.

I am not making it easy for Him.

It's not angels singing. It's a frequency, a vibrational energy. Sort of like a 'carrier wave' for consciousness. I have heard it. It sounds pleasant.

I too do not hear a voice. It is better to describe it like a subtle urge. Your spirit, which is of God is small, it's urges are often drowned out by our wants and desires, the voices are influences, be it your ego or Satan talking through it.

I decern the difference by comparing the fruits. Which leads to growth and which leads to atrophy. If we reflect enough on the decisions to be made we can often see if we are honest with ourselves, the choice is yours to make.

It use to be morgan freeman, but now it's wednesday addams.

I've never audibly heard a "voice", but I have had the "answer" given to me in a number of ways and at various times. Sometimes immediately, sometimes weeks or months off. Most often, when I have an issue or a question and I pray for wisdom or answers, it's like they were there the entire time, just waiting for me to ask, and then "poof", the answer pushes its way to the front of my consciousness.

In all honesty, I'd probably freak out a little if I heard a voice, soft or loud of any sort. I'd likely have myself checked just to make sure I wasn't going insane. When Moses was interacting with God on the mountain & the Israelites could actually hear God speak, they were so afraid, they asked Moses to ask God to stop speaking directly to them, because they feared just His voice alone would kill them and to speak THROUGH Moses instead. I never faulted them for that because I'd probably have sh*t my pants if I heard what they did.

I have never heard anything that I would attribute to God communicating.

so, my answer is "silence".

He sounds like you conveying in the language in your brain if its words. If its not you.. then its a guide. go by what is said and how.

Synchronicities often confirm things for me. Discussing things with a loved one then finding a thread on here stating the exact thing I Know, it's a bit whacky because you don't learn these things, you know them.

Why do I make things so complicated then.... God is so simple and he's been trying to reach me all this time with synchronicities and what not. The enemy really got to me for a while there.... God is not a god of confusion. Thanks y'all.

God has no voice. God is Unconditional Love. There is nothing out there to truly express who God is except to feel, REALLY FEEL, love in our hearts. We are the only beings on earth that possess the spark of the divine, who is All Loving, All Mighty. Everything else is a fraud.

Sounds just like ME!
