Homeless veterans or a Wall? What would you choose to help?
Of all the homeless people you see on the streets a LARGE portion of them are veterans.

Not just veterans from Iraq, Afghanistan, but also veterans from Vietnam, Korea, and even WWII.

It is estimated that 34% of homeless people are veterans who served the USA honorably in the military.

On average 9% of those homeless veterans are women.

These people will be on the street homeless for an average of 2 years longer than other homeless people.

Why because they do not ask for help, or they ask once and give up because of unsympathetic bureaucrats who deny their plea for help.

So is building a 20 Billion dollar wall more important than helping those that served?

Doesn't the Nation owe them the care that they deserve?

Which would you rather help, homeless veterans?

Or build a wall to keep illegals, immigrants, out?

Most of those veterans can get all the help they want ,they just need to ask for it
If they don't want it then it's their fault

Those illegals will become a drain on the already limited resources that can be used to help the veterans, who are LEGAL citizens. So by all means, keep the illegals out any way possible.

And it’s not a “either this or that” issue. The wall can be built AND homeless citizens can be helped. Doing one does not preclude doing the other

blame the veteran, lol. all they have to do is ask for help, like the hundreds of thousands dead that asked for medical help. and waited and waited.

Well because we are constantly told VA doesn't have the resources, yet they are proposing building a wall for 20 billion?

So are the politicians saying veterans are not as important?

But the politicians keep finding, or rather creating other more important issues to spend money on, yet veterans get no help.

Read statistics for the last 20 years, please educate your self on this subject.

Its a real problem, but everyone avoids it, yet more and more military are having issues which cause them to go homeless due to their service.

IM stating facts. read what they spend money on yearly!

I would say that it's more a matter of public assistance for illegals or helping veterans. A wall is needed to keep the illegals out. [link to nypost.com (secure)]

You obviously can’t do math, so you try to Shill some emotional argument instead. Illegals cost US taxpaying citizens HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS EACH YEAR by raping our system and being useless eaters. These Users & Takers:

*Cost us $18.5 BILLION each year in Medicaid and other costs to birth their cockroach offspring and provide them with medical coverage

*Triple digit billions in cost to schools (this includes extra teacher salaries, Free Lunch programs, ESOL classes, and construction costs for crowded schools). Again, that’s hundreds of billions each year.

*Millions in infrastructure costs due to excessive wear/tear on roads, bridges, use of fire/police, etc.

*BILLIONS of dollars in Food Stamps and WIC

*Hundreds of millions each year drain on the court and penal systems. The cost to house the criminal illegals in prison is astronomical. And, to be sure, many of them commit criminal offenses besides violating our border laws. Do you think they are all a bunch of upstanding, law-abiding, doctors, engineers, and rocket scientists?

*Can’t-Put-a-Pricetag on the human lives of US citizens they STEAL each year that they rape, murder via DUI, and outright murder the conventional way.

I could go on, but the list is too long. Some astute reporter actually did the research and math on this, replete with sourced numbers from both federal and state government resource and budget offices, so the information exists online if you are interested in finding it and educating yourself instead of vomiting *muh feelings* all over as some kind of argument.

When looking at the math, it becomes blatantly obviously that the only solution to the homeless problem in America (be it homeless Veterans or other homeless such as drug addicts, mental health issues, legit poor, etc) is to divert the funding and services away from the Parasitic Border Jumpers and Visa Abusers to those American citizens who need help AND EARNED IT THROUGH THEIR SERVICE AND BIRTHRIGHT INHERITANCE OF THIS COUNTRY. Since you are so concerned about the Homeless Veterans, you should go get a job with ICE or CBP and start lobbying your Congresspeople for policy change.

EXACTLY ! ! !

Stop contributions to the UN and pull out of that corrupt organization.

- Stop giving out foreign aid money to those countries that are against us. Let's find out who our true friends are. We don't need to buy friends.

- Stop providing the "free" (It's not free...tax payers pay for it) social care programs to those that are in this country illegally.

- Legalize cannabis and tax the shit out of it to use for meaningful programs like US infrastructure repair to our roads and bridges, taking care of our own (including vets, teacher, etc.)

- Take every LATAM gangbanger....MS-13 or others, and put 'em on a chain gang to build the wall. They can mix concrete, install the rebar, etc. That will cut the labor costs involved.
