Happy St. Paddy's day!

Here's a joke for you gals and guys:

A Irishman was flustered because he couldn't find a parking space in the large mall's parking lot. "Lord," he prayed, "I can't stand this. If you open up a space for me I swear I'll give up drinking me whisky, and I promise to go to church every Sunday."

Suddenly the clouds parted and the sun shone on an empty parking spot. Without hesitation, the man said, "Never mind. I found one."

I was thinking about making this into a Mandela thread, but I would rather share the joke here.

Witchcraft is on the rise. In an age of uncertainty, dislocation and environmental turmoil, younger generations are taking a renewed interest in astrology, horoscopes and the occult. In the past five years, there’s been a marked increase for those searching on Google for ‘crystal healing’ – and the subculture of people who identify as witches is on the rise.

I have highish degrees in Gardnerain, Alexandrian, NROOGD and Ár nDraíocht Féin. I'm a High Priest and have married couples with my Old Order Gardnerian creds. 3rd degree OTO, BOTA and the Church of All Worlds. It's all empty...it's perpetual circling. There is no potency nor epic moment on those paths. The only thing I have found to be somewhat sane is the Russian Orthodoxy (ROCOR). It's all myst/mist and fizzy pops that claim 7% alcohol without a buzz.
This song doesn't really fit here but I presume no on will mind since I won't embed it.

If you want a direct link to power in today's world, you have to sell yourself out and take up the offers that will be heard at 3-5am on the frequency in your left ear if you chose to tune into it. I would suggest you do not. And if you get a visit and 'Mr.D' enters your life and allows you to walk between worlds for a week, you better have a good group of close peeps around you that won't send you into the bin. If you do meet Mr. D...tell him I say hello...he knows me and if you need a non-Christian backup, yell for Legba and use my trick on him...never ask a request for yourself...that way, it will be acted upon without any karmic debt to that fellow. The anti-Christ is about 17 years of age and lives in Florida. Expect...well you can not expect the unexpected so no point in trying.

Postscript: Sorry it's been so long since I've posted on this thread. It's been a long strange trip of a year, and I've been taking refuge writing novels and when I come to GLP it's just to blow off steam and make snarky comments and post memes. Not the best use of my time, although I will say it kind of helped.

I love this thread. I love Too Dark Park for her willingness to give digital-vagabonds like me a place to chill and I love Fraust66 for his unbelievable deep wellspring of positive energy and kind words. Wow... I don't know where I would be without these two people. Probably still alive, but not nearly as buoyant.

So this cut goes out to TDP and Fraust, and I wish you both -- and everybody else on GLP -- the very best Wednesday night of your lives. Y'all rock, so friggin hard.

Going old school here... don't mind me ;)

Green Jellÿ
Three Little Pigs

Background info:

Green Jellÿ (green Jell-O) is an American comedy rock band formed in 1981. Originally named Green Jellö, the band changed its name due to legal pressure from Kraft Foods, the owners of the Jell-O brand, who claimed that it was an infringement of their trademark. Despite the spelling difference, the new and old names are pronounced identically.

The video for "Three Little Pigs" was directed by Fred Stuhr (who also directed Tool's "Sober" video), and it featured a claymation rendition of the classic fairy tale with modern twists, such as pot-smoking pigs, an appearance by Rambo, and a Harley Davidson-riding wolf... eventually selling over 14 million copies worldwide.
