Stop trying to rewrite scripture, God doesn't need your help! What he means he clearly says...a chosen one. Stop re-living/seeking to fill past office positions. Jesus fulfilled both these offices King/Priest at his Resurrection. When James and John desired to set on Jesus' right and left hand. They did not seek these positions as a king or priest but as two disciples/prophets. So it will be the same with these two, but one shall be of the position of authority as the chosen one... on the Lord's right hand.
