That's the post that made me aware of who Paul Stamets is. I believe he has been on Rogan's podcast one time. I found his lectures much more informative though. Here's the full Rogan podcast. |

With early onset Alzheimer's and so many people feeling brain fog, it's something that can help. Plus, it is supposed to taste almost like lobster. And since it's clean, I want to check it out. Things are bad enough, there is no need to make anything up. ~Fluffy "Never interrupt an enemy in the process of destroying himself." Quercitin and zinc...Get it. Take it. With Stamets and others' research, I think we are finally getting a big piece of the puzzle set in, that fills a huge space of the unknown, in regards to human health and curative options. Much more research and funding is needed, but there is a solid launchpad existing now, that can propel us to greater discoveries. |

The research is very profound. It is the only substance known to regenerate nerve tissue. Clinical studies actually show that intentionally damaged brain of rats regenerate. Reviews by people with Alzheimer's, MS, Parkinson's and many other neuro conditions are promising. I can't wait to give it a try. For the person who said it didn't work for them. My review of the research indicates that for the neuro-regenerative properties, the chemicals have to be extracted with a high percentage of alcohol. The water soluble properties do regenerate GI tract ailments and cancers. Many of the commercially available products do not do a dual extract (time/expense). If you are specifically looking for neuro benefits, make sure the product you buy has been dualey extracted. The dual extraction process involves soaking the mushroom in a very high proof alcohol for several weeks and then straining it and simmering it for several hours and then combining them in a way that leaves you with at least a 25 percent alcohol solution. |

The liquid alcohol extract contains the polysacharides which have an effect on nerve growth factor (NGF). Several of the top medicinal value mushrooms require dual extraction, however, some others may be damaged from a dual process. I guess it is best to look up each. Reishi does require dual extraction from what I have read. |

Thanks for that info! I really have no idea about the processes you're talking about. I made my first purchase today from Stamets's own website. I'm hoping and assuming, that his lab and methods of extraction, are one of the better ones out there. Im being an armchair advocate at the moment, with no results to vouch for. Can you speak to his product or would recommend something else, as I've seen other competitors on the market. Thanks again though. You've just opened up a new avenue of consideration. Stamets is such a prominent figure in mycology, that I'm wondering, who are the other great scientific researchers working behind the scenes? Last Edited by Catalyst on 11/27/2018 08:27 PM |

Do notice sharper recall. Clearer thinking leads to getting more accomplished. Going to try just a drop or two under the tongue to see if it has the same effect. Who does your thinking? |

My brother has been her caretaker while she is deteriorating. My aunt told him to get Lion's Mane mushroom supplements and start giving them to her. After a week of her taking it, we all have noticed a major difference in her mental state and awareness. The last time we visited, she had SO much more energy than the last many times we visited. And was talking a lot and asking questions and seemed a lot more alert than usual. She was even almost glowing! The supplement helped her immensely. |

All supplements effect everyone differently so who knows, it might help others more profoundly. Quoting: Fred Garvin Problem with supplements is that you dont really know if you are actually taking what it claims to be. Most private lab investigations find that there is a barely noticeable amount of active ingredients in supplements. |
