I do, but thats me. I know a lot of people that truly believe in the occult and what they do. I am not one to mess with it, I follow God's instructions to not do that. the symbols are usually used for power of some sort, never good for the recipient.
Someone wearing an eye symbol, and carrying around an eye suncatcher to work with them is probably really into whatever they are trying to get from the eye, you know what I mean?

It's supposed to be a "evil eye" type symbol. I had a friend bring me one from Greece. They believe, in many old countries in Europe, that it wards off evil.

But because some current satanic symbology includes the covering of the left eye, left hand path etc, you can't really know what she meant by it. it could either be a ancient folk-symbol of protection, or a current evil symbol.

She should explain to her students that objects like this are not a good thing to be around and that there are truly righteous paths they can follow.

If it's cursed and placed there against your wife then she need to ask for the protection by the blood of Christ and rebuke any curse or demonic spirit that is moving against her.

But the prayer only has power after she knows Yeshua as her Lord, God and Savior. Then the classroom should be prayed over to claim it for God's purposes only and all evil spirits must leave and leave her and any children be.

Could be that she is just a person that likes that symbol.
Many people who have no knowledge of the significance of the symbol still find it attractive enough to wear as jewelry or a stained glass peace.
Don't have to be a freak to like that.

I don't have any insight to share with you, but it strikes me as pretty damned creepy. I personally would destroy it and 'sage' the room while praying. But that's just me.

Substitute teachers are sort of like teachers without a class. Some of them become professional at it and sort of take a special pride that somehow they have reached more students like this than as a regular teacher.
