I stopped breathing once. I didn't seem to lose consciousness. I could hear all the paramedics in the ambulance. Couldn't communicate with them but recall looking deeply into their eyes because I needed to tell them something. I had no fear after I just gave in to the possibility that I was probably dying. Kind of felt like being able to breathe under water. I don't believe we ever lose consciousness, our real self is pure awareness and no fear or negativity.
