Why do so many piss and moan about history?

I used to live in princeville, or haoleville as the local racist natives liked to call it since most natives were priced out of this side of the island and it's mostly white. To be honest, I've never lived in a more openly racist state then Hawaii. If you are latino, black or white you're heavily and openly discriminated against by the locals. Had enough of that boring island and sold my home to some sucker who paid 1.2 million for some mildew saturated timber that I could build for $90,000 back home. You need to be so laid back you're seconds away from death to enjoy living in kauai, not my kind of island.

Too many hippies, too many racist natives, too many asians pretending to be natives. If Hawaii ever gained its independence it would be a Chinese territory within a decade.

In short what I gathered back when I used to live on Kauai and listen to their KKCR station they want non natives to forfeit their land and their property to have a 99 year lease that eventually expires so the value would keep dropping as it sold throughout the years.

They dont want to follow any federal regulations when it comes to fishing, endangered species ect.

They dont want federal taxes

They dont want the military bases on their island

They want to be openly free to discriminate against your skin color and ethnicity for jobs, land ect..

Wish more people like you would leave and find a place in the world more suitable to your personal beliefs and ideologies.

Ah yes, let these people conveniently ignore the history of conflicts and geography. Hawaii was going to be invaded one way or another in either of the TWO world wars. Without sounding condescending, they should be a bit more introspective and realize the USA was the only choice for a life that wasn't in chains.

Hawaiians are a nice and proud people. When you get local politicians that stir up anger about this, people should understand its just for personal gain. Nothing will ever come of this. If not for humanitarian reasons, it will be for strategic reasons.

Why do people have to be so dumb. A real deal maker would position themselves to use this to better the state, not break it and then what? Figure out after that?

I have a copy of James Mitchener's book HAWAII but I had to stop reading it because it was so fucking depressing.

Yeah it means you must fight to achieve it. Good luck getting all your severely overwieght 300-400 pound natives together with sticks and knives to revolt. You will never be soverign you will be a state within the USA or a chinese territory or some other super power in the future will take you over. You cannot defend yourself, you are no longer a bunch of natives in the middle of a massive ocean where the rest of hte world does not know you even exist. We found you, we took you over, we took your land and theres really nothing you can or will do about it.

Hawaii and all of Polynesia were poised to form a union with China and Japan at the time of the overthrow. If this had occurred and the Kingdom not invaded by the US, there is a very good chance that neither World War would have occurred.

Hawaiians consider asians to be the same as them since they have similar features. The Asians in Hawaii mostly pretend to be native and are accepted as such. They together HATE whites, blacks and latinos. And by HATE I mean they discriminate in nearly all job applications giving to asians and natives first, they call you a haole, they have beat haole days at public schools, they rant and rave about taking away your land and evicting you from their island openly without shame.
