Wall Street execs too afraid to hire women in wake of #MeToo: Report

Male executives on Wall Street are so spooked by the #MeToo movement that they’re avoiding women altogether, a Bloomberg report said Monday.

Interviews with more than 30 senior executives suggest that the #MeToo movement has led to “gender segregation” in the workplace, Bloomberg reported.

“It’s creating a sense of walking on eggshells,” one adviser told the publication.

Another said just hiring a woman these days can present “an unknown risk.”

“Women are grasping for ideas on how to deal with it, because it is affecting our careers,” said Karen Elinski, president of the Financial Women’s Association and a senior vice president at Wells Fargo & Co. “It’s a real loss.”

Random story. When I was in the oil fields I trained a lot of people. High turnover so always new faces. Had a woman and a man both come out to train within a few months of each other. The woman was from a small town in Oklahoma somewhere and the Man was from DFW Texas. Long story short this woman was an absolute work horse. Never had 1 issue with her pulling her weight or any sort of complaints about the job difficulty. She was a nasty gal I might add. No showers, ripped ass and laughed her ass off, bad breath, talked nasty etc. The "man" on the other hand was very feminine and soft spoken. Got flustered when his clothes or nails got dirty, complained often of the people and how disgusting they were. She went on to make good money and climb the ranks in a tough industry. He lasted about 1 week. Might add it turned out he was a gay guy. Not sure why I am sharing this or for what purpose but it came to mind.

I'll tell you another sad thing this #metoo, sexual harassment in workplace has done...left many people single and alone. The over the top claims of sexual harassment in the workplace has pretty much put a halt on any office romance and severely restricted the chances of anyone finding mr or mrs right. I found mine in the workplace. I don't know where the young people today are hooking up at. You sure don't find the good ones in a bar!
Sexual harassment claims have gone from groping private parts and demanding sex for advancement by the boss to any man giving a woman a compliment. That pretty much nixes any guy in the office ever getting the nerve to ask you out for a date ladies.
The envelope was simply pushed too far. Now the repercussions start.

This reminds me of the interns that banded together and went to the boss with a list of grievances and a petition.

Everyone that signed the petition was fired.

Far less than 99.9% of women are normal. And they did nothing to put down the "go girl power" types that were basically asking for discrimination in favor of women against men.

So, this is just the pendulum swinging back a bit. Why would men want to reduce the swing? We'll do nothing too, sit back and enjoy the benefits, just as you did.

When Hillary was having her political calls, it boiled down to voting with your vagina. Several times I was asked if I was voting for her, because wimmenz.

She ran on a vote for me because I am a woman and many women ate it up.

I told my husband that we were going to wind up going back 100 years in the women's movement when Trump won.

It has affected my business to some degree...the bulk of my male clients come in the evening or the weekend when my husband can be there or we talk outside the business when I am by myself in the parking lot.
