help getting off kratom
I've been taking it for 6 years now, and am a total slave to this stuff. I started taking it to get off of hydrocodone that a doctor got me hooked on. Everyone that says this stuff is not addictive is fooling themselves. Yes, it helps you get off of pain pills, but it's every bit as addictive as pain pills themselves, and the withdrawals are horrendous. Does anyone have any advice? I've lost like 30 pounds since I've been on it, and everyone is always asking me if I'm OK. I'm just ready to have my life back.

Nope. Took it for over 6 months while rebuilding my shoulder after tearing the rotator cuff and it froze..

Slight withdrawal (maybe) got a headache a few times after stopping. Can't think of anything else.

Wife takes it on and off for fibromyalgia.
She said she has no withdrawal.

Kratom has been good to me.

Sorry to hear it affects you differently.

Its gonna suck for two weeks but you can do it.

Get a hold of some valium and maybe ambien. Youll get the chills and sweat at the same time, runny nose, it sucks but could be worse.

Guess it can be just as bad as opioid withdrawal

Hope this can help you!

Adding this too......

Over-the-Counter Medications For Opiate Withdrawal

Sometimes, you can't make it to the doctor. Check out our Heroin Detox Survival Guide for strategies to get you through.

Imodium: Imodium (brand name for the generic over-the-counter anti-diarrhea medication loperamide) can help with the stomach issues caused by opiate withdrawal. We recommend taking it only as directed.

Dramamine: Over-the-counter anti-nausea meds such as Antivert, Bonine, and Dramamine can help with nausea caused by withdrawal. These are commonly offered for motion sickness.

Advil or Tylenol: For achey muscles, take acetaminophen (like Tylenol) or ibuprofen (like Advil). A hot bath or a slow walk can also work wonders.

Want to know how long opiate withdrawal will last? Check out our opiate withdrawal timeline to know exactly what to expect.

I've tried tapering. It doesn't work for me. I guess I don't have the self control for it. It's gotta be cold turkey.

I definitely don't want to take anything else. I've got a VERY addictive personality. I've done cold turkey off of hydrocodone in the past, and it definitely sucked, but it seems as if it's worse with kratom.

Yeah i get trouble everytime i quit kratom with the withdrawal and other crap. You have to taper down, every 2 days drop down half a gram or a full gram. That's what i do at least and it works. You have to go all the way down to 1 to half gram doses then jump off. Thats the only way you get minimal to no withdrawal.

Seriously? Just man up and quit. I use it now and then for issues. Never felt an overwhelming desire to take it everyday.

Its the lightest, shortest, easiest of all?

1) knock off being such a drama queen

2) Loperamide over the counter diarhhea pills

3) pot

4) small amounts (.25) of xanax a couple times a day (don't start glutting that)

Its 1 week or less? I flush it out with reishi and cuts time in half.

Easy peasey.

It takes a lot of self serving gall to carry on when you are as sick as you ate greedy, act like its the kratom and not you and help ruin it for all looking silly with drama and gluttony feeding fda

I live in a junkie state and ya'lls MAIN addiction is not to drugs, its to dramatic bullshit and the constant "alice in zombieland" excuse. Kratom isn't what's fucking up your life, its just one of the things you have used to fuck up your life.

The era of sympathy for addiction has to be over. People are gauranteed a constant "oh be strong!" "You go!" Every time they glut thier selves sick again like having your simple shit together is an olympic feat.
Your shit together is just what everybody does every day after waking. Its not climbing everest. When civilized people find thier selves with an indiscretion, they go to thier house quietly, fix it and hope others don't find out. Its embarassing, not a "sharing" thing.

I know the remedies work, I hope the common sense and refusal of sympathy or acknowledgement of that does too, because its definately more important.

I've used it for around 3 years now, roughly six grams a day. I've gone without it for a week or so and didn't notice any bad withdrawal side effects. Maybe that's just me though. I was doing Klonopin everyday for 6 months and when I ran out, I was expecting a hellish withdrawal based on what I had heard and read, but I didn't notice much, other than becoming annoyed a little easier than usual.
This is my happening and it freaks me out!
