We're able to be pretty much self sufficient here, even if there was no power, and we ran out of fuel (old fishing village, half of the people here still mix traditional fishing with newer methods) and divers for collecting food, plus lots of small uninhabited islands with tons of deer, hunting is easy here.

If things get really bad? We close the ferry dock, and guard it.

Have several friends in Canada and a few more who live in the U.S. but grew up in Canada and spent most of their lives there. OH, yes. My parents are in their mid-70's and man... hate is probably a MILD word. My mother, who throughout my WHOLE life has been the most tolerant and inclusive person I know, always welcoming our friends no matter what background (went to highschool in Ottawa at the school where most Diplomat's kids go, so lots of foreign friends.)

Now? She calls herself a "sort of racist, whether I like it or not," and fully blames Trudeau for making an already bad situation untenable. Yup, they hate 'im!

The legalization was on its way; Harper already had the medicinal cannabis for veterans going...it was just a matter of time. In fact, I said to Hubby prior to the election that if Harper said he would - he easily would have been re-elected.

Surprised Trudeau hasn't applied for Canadian entry into the EU ... that way Canada could be run by the UNELECTED EU Parliament in Brussels!! and the EU Bureaucrats!!

OH ... and you would get the added "Benefit" of unlimited and unrestricted Immigration from Europe, particularly all those "refugees" that Herr Merkel FORCED the rest of Europe to accept!!

That would fit Trudeau's beliefs and style. Give up Canadian sovereignty to the EU Bureaucrats, since of course they KNOW BETTER than anybody else what is "good" for society.
